Learning Lines - Primary Program

Sunday was the Primary Program in Sacrament meeting. My boys practiced and learned their parts for weeks. They knew their lines. Then the night before the program I asked the boys to recite their lines. The boys could not remember. So I reminded them and Tiberias practiced again. However, Luke could not remember. I told him again and again but he could not retain the information. I think he was nervous and overthinking.

Sunday morning I asked the boys to tell me their lines. Tiberias knew his but Luke did not. Luke's line was "My name is Lachoneus Roundy. I know I'm feeling the holy ghost when I pray and have a good feeling." Well, for some reason he could not remember even the first words.

During Sacrament meeting Tiberias stood up and said confidently and happily "My name is Lachoneus Roundy. I can be like Jesus by loving others." Sterling and I couldn't help but (quietly) crack up. He did not even realize he had stated the wrong name. He was so proud of himself. And even though Ster and I couldn't stop laughing for a few minutes we realized that most of the people in the audience probably had no clue what our child's name is anyway. They probably don't know which one of my boys is Tiberias and which one is Lachoneus.

When it was Luke's turn he got and read his line so it turned out it didn't matter if he remembered the words or not.

Of course after church Luke wanted to tell Tiberias "You said you were Lachoneus!" But we told him not to. Ty still has no idea.
