Family Visit Before Christmas

We spent the whole week prior to Christmas week in Utah visiting family! It was a blast!

Our drive is a 10+ hours from home to Provo. We planned ahead of time and made the boys a map. The map showed where our home was, our drive route and their Grandparents Roundy home. The trip was divided up with activities to break down the long drive and make it more bearable for the boys. We had two big bags of activities (Fun Bags) which they were given at separate times. They had dollar store gifts to open at different points in the trip. They had scheduled movie time and listen to book on tape time. They had McDonald's stops to eat and play for breakfast and lunch. We were at the Roundy home by dinner.

My parents and Nephi came up to visit us in Provo that week. Here they are at the Roundy home.

We went to Salt Lake to visit Eliza and Chubbz for dinner and to go see the lights at Temple Square. It was so beautiful!!
Eliza and Chubbz live just a little walk away from the temple.

 Nephi the photographer.
even though Luke didn't smile for this pic he had a great time.

Tuesday the 16th Alissa came up with her son James and her two foster kids. We had lunch at Carl's Jr with a playland.

We went to Provo's Bean Museum which has recently been remodeled. It is amazing! And free.
It was so funny! Little James photobombed! It was cute. He was running around wild and when I said "say cheese" to my boys he ran to the picture, froze in a pose, and was off again after the photo.

Lachoneus learned to tie his shoe laces in one day! We bought him new shoes with laces just for that reason and it worked. Below is a pic of Luke sitting at the museum tying his shoes.

The whole group at the museum
The foster kids' names are Monice and her brother Sylise.

We went to a park to play.
