February

I had a crazy idea that took off. I started making plush heart valentines for primary children and realized it was too large for me alone. So I recruited my presidency and half my primary teachers. And we made about 70 hearts! We have too many primary children! That was including the nursery though. Here are a few of them...
Sterling wanted to get me flowers for Valentine's day. So while we were at walmart I made sure he picked the prettiest ones.

Athena was pretending to be a Super Kitty!

 Back to Valentine's week...

So handsome! Lookin' like Captain America just for me!!! (Until Valentine's day is over atleast)
Pinewood Derby:
Tiffany decorated for the event and Sterling was the photographer.

It was disappointing that Luke was not in any of the photos taken! Whenever there was a great photo op...Luke was on the other side of the room from it. lol. But he was at the event...

At the end of the event they allowed all the siblings (non Cub Scouts) to race.
Ty's car is the one on the far left (blue Minecraft themed) and Athena's racer is the one of the far right.

They served  pizza and cookies. It was an awesome event!

Valentine's day:
Tiberias took mini cupcakes and mini valentine cookies to class for their valentine's day party. Luke's 4th grade party was a small one at the end of the day.
Athena celebrated one day early with her preschool class because they meet Tuesdays but not Wednesdays.

Sterling and I didn't try very hard to find a sitter for Athena for Valentine's day. Nobody wants to babysit on valentine's day. So we took Athena with us on our date.
Sterling took the day off of work and stayed home with me.

We went to Sickie's for lunch. We love the food there. And having been dieting for a month it was a special treat. Athena and I shared a chocolate shake. Mmmmm.

Later that valentine's day I made a small batch of chocolate chip cookies. Ster and I each ate three cookies. Mmmmm.

Sterling and I loved our day together. SO in love. SO perfect for each other. So happy.

For President's day weekend the boys ended up having a 5 day weekend. Friday prior they had no school. Then Monday was President's day. Then Tuesday was a snow day. A blizzard came through on Sunday and the snow fell a lot after that. The snow piled so high that the school district cancelled all school classes and events.
On Monday I sent the kids out to play in the afternoon. The temperatures were still dangerously low but I let them out for a little bit. Then they had so much fun that they were eager to get back out the next day. I made them wait until the warmest part of the day.

Sterling turns 32!

Typically he asks for homemade chocolate chip cookies...no cake. But this time he wanted white cake with chocolate frosting. The way he remembers having in his childhood. This is what we ended up with...mmmm...

We pigged out and watched a movie! It was a blast!

Here is Luke (4th grade) practicing/learning the states.
 In his bedroom.
Athena got her ears pierced a little while ago. Now she gets to switch out the earrings. The fun part...choosing what earring to wear!

Lachoneus playing a math tile game with his mom.

About a month after Grandpa Ray's funeral Grandma also passed on. Here are pictures shared with me from that funeral. I could not make it back out there. But I was truly grateful I had visited with her before she passed.
