Independance Day

On the fourth of July we decided to go to the drive in movie theater. Roy's.
We had gone there once before and it wasn't a great experience. Despite going with friends, the Sheldon's, it wasn't that fun. It was far too crowded! And the movie was Finding Dory which turned out to be so boring (atleast to Tiffany).
But when we came to see the Incredibles 2 on the 4th of July there was almost nobody there! We loved that! And the movie...was amazing!
Luke fulfilled some Bear Cub requirements by cooking outdoors for his family. We ate dinner and played on the swingset. We bought some candy for the movie showing.
We laid down on mattresses in the back of Ster's truck with our pillows and blankets and bug spray. haha.

After the Incredibles 2 movie another exciting film played...Solo. It was as disappointing as I (Tiff) expected. I decided it wasn't worth staying awake for and I slept through about 3/4 of the film.
Sterling's analysis was that they portrayed young Han as a hero when in the story he shouldn't have been. He doesn't become a hero until later in life (until the old movies).
We were able to see fireworks from the drive in after dark. That was fun. And, since fireworks are legal in the valley where we live we were able to enjoy watching fireworks from home the next night. We had some of our own to play with as well.

Painted Rocks/Reptil Gardens/Bangs!

We are having a pretty cool summer...and I mean temperature ! And with extra rain too we see more rainbows.
Luke with his cool bday gifts
Rocks I painted to hide in public for strangers to find.

Some pictures I colored in this year...

When we returned from vacation Sterling and I started a big project. I convinced Sterling to help me redo Athena's bedroom.
After I started moving things around and making a mess I realized I should take some "before" photos...

Her bed took up so much floor space! And our shelves took up even more space in her room.
So we got rid of her bed and the shelves!
Ster built a closet and a playhouse with a bed on the roof.
Athena really wanted pink so that's what we did...

Athena did not want this fairy there! Apparently my love for fairies still hasn't kicked in for her.
I painted cats at her request. And placed them as she wanted.

The room isn't complete but it will do for now. Next month we'll replace the carpet, finish the new closet and close up the old closet so that it will be a wall. The other side of the old closet will be opened up on the other side of it's wall..in the master bedroom. We will finally have a closet large enough for a master bedroom.

I love these weeds with white flowers that grow upward!

We went to Reptile Gardens again...

I got an itch to do something new with my hair. But I am growing it out so I did not want to get a cut.
I am striving for healthy hair so I don't want to change the color.
I don't want a perm (been there/done that).
So...bangs it is! I have never had bangs since Ster and I have known each other!

 Loving the new look!

Leatherbys in Utah/Storybook Island Rapid CIty

Leatherby's ice cream with the Roundy's, Chubbz, Eliza and Nephi too.

Yesterday Sterling and Luke went on a Webelos cub scout hike while the other kids went with me to a baptism for Onita Christensen. My friends were there: Jen, Laura, Druceal, Monica.
After the baptism I realized I had left Ty's karate clothes at home and we wasn't dressed to do Ju jitsu so we couldn't go to class. But we were near Storybook Island and Monica Stewart invited us to join her at the park.

Athena wore her homemade pioneer dress to church today because pioneer day is this week.

Luke wanted to enter a Lego contest. Two people were to combine two things and create it out of Legos. The winners of the contest will have their photo featured in the credits of the next Lego movie. Our creation was a dragonfly house.
Luke is such a handsome boy!

Cool cloud on a beautiful day in Rapid !

More photos of us at the park on Saturday...

Jen threw Onita a fun and awesome birthday party in their back yard!
Onita and Julia are best friends...Julia is about to move to California.

Jayce (Julia's baby brother) and Eliza (Onita's baby sister) are also friends about to separate by a move. Laura and Jen and I are about to be separated by this move. But we have Marco Polo to keep in touch.

I did portraits for free for Jen's baptism announcements for her daughter:
