Christmas Eve

Last Thursday we took a road trip to visit family for the holidays.
The weather was great. The roads were safe. We drove through Custer state park and came across a group of bison coming onto the road. It was fun to see the buffalo so close up.

Later down the road, once on the freeway, a semi kicked up a big rock that hit our windshield. It hit hard and broke the window on the inside as well as the outside. A few tiny glass shards fell down by my feet. That was scary. Now we have a windshield to get fixed.

The kids had a lot of fun in the car the first half of the trip. They were so excited to go to grandma and grandpa's.
They had fun with the activities and toys I had brought along for the trip. And they each started the trip with a present to open. Luke received a bunch of easy reading Star Wars Lego (silly) books. Ty received a robot like toy. Athena a soft and fluffy sheep doll. It is so soft she threw her blanky on the floor to cuddle with just the sheep. It's a large sheep though!

It's a ten and a half hour drive. With stops we made it to Provo in about 11 hours. That means our dinner and play at Mcdonalds really was a short stop. And the kids did great. Athena slept, woke and cried then did it again the whole last hour. She was so done and ready to get out of the car. Crying every two mins. It was a hard last stretch.

Friday we spent time with Hannah and Stewart, Abi, Grandparents, Trevor and Simone, Travis and Aubri and Matt and Maria.

 Angels

She's making angry eyes at daddy for taking pictures. She doesn't feel like an angel.
