Showa Park Bike & Play

We had a long weekend where there was no school on Monday. So, we went as a family to play off base. It has gotten really cold here but not all days are super cold. Luckily for us the day we ventured out was a beautiful day! We wore gloves because biking in winter can be really cold on your hands. But we didn't need hats or scarves or extra layers of clothing.

Sterling carefully stacked all 5 of our bike into the van like a puzzle. Squeezing all 5 different sized bikes together. The seats we were going to sit in had to be moved up pretty far to make room for the bikes. Which results in the kids having no leg room. Showa Park is about 20 minutes drive away. So we dealt with being cramped up for 20 minutes.

We enjoyed a wonderful family bike ride in the park! Then we enjoyed playing in the playgrounds before biking back to the van.

We checked out a "new to us" section of the park. It appears to be a splash pad for the summertime.

On the way home we stopped at 7eleven to pick up some dinner. Sterling chooses Japanese food every time. I choose Italian style food. And the kids choose American style food.

This time we treated Athena to a strawberry and cream sandwich! We all tasted it and she was very generous to share. It was yummy. She also ate french fries.
Tiberias chose chicken on a stick.

And Luke received a corn dog.
It was an early dinner. So, I made smoothies for dessert later.
