Cabin in Mt Pleasant

On our way to the Mt Pleasant cabin we stopped to play two times. First at Mcdonald’s for lunch and playplace. 2^nd at the Fremont Indian State Park and Museum. Sterling had gone once in his childhood and remembered it was pretty cool. So we went and had a good time. We looked through the museum and played in the kids’ zone. That was really cool. 

Then we went outside and walked the ¼ mile path which took us to a big teepee, rocks with Indian hieroglyphics and finally the home in the ground! So fun! It is so much cooler down in the dirt in the desert. It was a very smart thing to make their homes in the ground.

We arrived in Mt Pleasant before dinner yesterday. We were surprised to find workmen at the cabin noisily tearing down the top deck. They were scheduled to do so on Wednesday after we leave but somehow they started early. We decided to stay anyway.

We went out on the ATV’s for a little bit but they started to run out of gas so we went back to the cabin. The little kids were happy to find the upstairs full of kid beds. And more happy to find mom and dad allowing them to jump on the mattress that lays on the floor. They love jumping on it!
There is not just the pool table Ster and I remember but now a nice foosball table and an old air hockey table. The air hockey table was broken (something with the electrical). But Sterling fixed it!

At bedtime Athena went to sleep first. Being alone in the little bedroom upstairs. She sleeps better when she is alone. She falls asleep sooner and sleeps later in the morning. She had been getting Ster or myself up at 6am everyday when she stayed in the room with us at my parents house.

Luke and Ty went to bed when the sun was going down. The time change made it feel like it was an hour earlier in the day.

Sterling and I watched Did You Hear About the Morgans?

In the morning we had breakfast then went on a walk. Ster went jogging while I carried Athena in a backpack. We did Summer school for Luke and Tiberias. We cleaned the main floor again.

The workmen quit working yesterday at 5pm and started up again around 8am. It’s so quiet when they are gone.

Today we are going to go to town to play at the cool new park there and get gas for the ATVs. Tomorrow morning we will go to the museum nearby on our way to Provo. We have a pretty relaxing week planned. Thursday night we will go to the Provo temple. Friday Sterling has a video game night with his brothers. Saturday we are going up a canyon for some family fun with Ster’s siblings. We will do something fun with Chubbz and Eliza some time as well.
