Final days in America

Thursday we met up with Alissa, Justin and their kids for lunch. We ate together at a diner. Then we hung out with Alissa and her kids at her house. We helped do some sorting and packing at her house because she is moving very soon.
Then we took the kids to the park to play. It was windy but not too cold.
We met up again at the hotel. We got pizza for dinner to eat the hotel lobby. Autumn and her boyfriend joined us. They left when it was time to go swimming though.
The kids had a great time swimming at the hotel pool.

Friday we checked out of the hotel and went to Alissa's house to play a game together. We said our goodbyes then headed back to Provo. We stopped at the Beaver Creamery. It is new and fancy. We treated ourselves to ice cream cones and bought some cheese. The most important was getting some squeaky cheese. We enjoyed that too.

Back in Provo over the next week we did many fun thing. We went to the arcade for the kids. Ster and I left the kids with grandma so we could have a night in the hotel we stayed at when we came to Provo for our wedding reception! Sterling is a romantic! :)

Friday the 5th of April Mom Roundy drove us to the airport. We flew from Salt Lake to Boise. Emily and Lucy picked us up. Jon was at work. The kids were at school.
The flight had been rough and therefore frightening to me, despite being only a 45 minute flight. I had sat by myself while Ster was with the kids a few rows behind and over. Once we hit turbulence I was truly concerned for Luke who does not like flying. The turbulence happened often. The flight attendants stayed at the front and probably buckled in.
Being a mom it made me wish I was sitting with Luke to help him through it. I tried watching a movie but it didn't stop my stomach from churning through the bumpy flight!
In the end it turns out watching a movie helped Luke. He was scared at first but became at ease being distracted by a movie.

The kids have loved being with these cousins! The boys picked up where they left off together...boys club. And Athena and Lucy are getting along well and having fun playing together.

We had New York style pizza for dinner.
The boy's club bunked together in Ben and Spencer's room. Athena had a cat like bed on the floor in Sarah and Lucy's room.

Saturday we watched a bit of General Conference. We took the kids swimming at the YMCA. They had a blast! We were not permitted to take any pictures in the swim area.

Jon and Emily live in a beautiful neighborhood! Where all of the houses are beautiful. All of the yards are beautiful and well kept! The neighborhood trees are gorgeous and include cherry blossom trees. The neighborhood has paths all through it. Amazing paths. And a short walk on the paths lead you to Target and a couple other stores!

Saturday we had a tea party. With fun sweet (caffeine free) teas and small treats. That was fun.

Sunday we watched General Conference. I made cinnamon sugar muffins for breakfast. And the men made lasagna for lunch. A yummy day.

We went on a walk between the morning and afternoon sessions and played at a school playground. It has been a rainy weekend though.

We are having a goodbye party this evening (Sunday) with ice cream, outdoor fire and glow sticks.
Tomorrow we go to the airport and fly to Seattle. We will spend the night in a hotel and then go early in the morning to the airport for our flight to Japan!
